“When I was 31-years-old, Skip Pile gave me the opportunity of a lifetime to join him in launching Pile and Company. Over the next 31 years, I helped build an industry-leading business filled with great people of whom I am very proud. I can now spend the next 30+ years in active and meaningful retirement, knowing that the business will continue to thrive in very capable hands.”
Rick Hooker shared these sentiments as he retired from his post as Pile Chairman, along with his 20+ year partner and CEO, Judy Neer. Rick and Judy announced their departures and passed the baton to two long-tenured members of Pile’s leadership team, Meghan and Mike McDonnell.
“I’ve been so lucky to work with the best people and the best clients and agencies in the country, but the time is right to move on. Meghan and Mike are ready to take the reins,” Judy said.
Meghan, Pile and Company President, has been with the company for over 19 years. She continues in her role leading Pile and Company’s consulting business, working with global and national brands and agencies. Additionally, Meghan helps steer the strategic direction of Pile’s divisions, Agency Compile, Communications Collaborative and the In-House Agency Forum.
Mike, Pile and Company’s new CEO, joined 15 years ago and has held Controller, General Manager and COO roles during that time. Mike will oversee finance, operations, new business, training and culture for Pile and its divisions.
Meghan and Mike shared, “We are incredibly excited to lead the next chapter of Pile and Company. We couldn’t have asked for better mentors in Rick and Judy. Having been through almost two decades of change at Pile and two decades of change in the industry, we look forward to continuing to do what Pile has always done—evolve our offerings to meet the needs of our clients, with a dedicated, driven and accomplished team.”
